Adults with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities Clinic

Wendy West has been practicing disability and civil rights law for over seven years. She is dedicated to ensuring that individuals with disabilities and other marginalized populations have equal access to justice and fairness in our society. Professor West is licensed to practice law in Florida and admitted to all federal and state courts within Florida. Additionally, she is experienced in administrative law and has represented clients in administrative proceedings through the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH). 

As the mother of a special needs child, Professor West's primary practice area is special education law. Prior to becoming an attorney, she was a Florida-certified teacher who taught grades kindergarten through eighth and she is an expert in literacy skills development.
