Mindy Solomon serves as a Broward County Judge. She was elected in 2010 and presides over a Criminal Trial
Division. In addition to doing County Criminal Trials, she also preside over Circuit Criminal Trials and Circuit Civil Trials.

Prior to being elected, Solomon was an assistant public defender for 17 years and an assistant state attorney for 12 years. She tried 200 jury trials to verdict including Murder 1. Solomon has taken hundreds of fact witness and expert witness depositions.

She teaches Trial Advocacy at NSU Sheppard Broad Law Center. Solomon is also a faculty member and Program Director for The National Institute of Trial Advocacy. She trains lawyers in trial skills, motion practice, expert and basic deposition skills and fact investigation. Additionally, Solomon was a private consultant in a New York law firm, teaching attorneys fact investigation, deposition taking, deposition preparation, and trial skills. She assists with expert and lay witness deposition preparation and trial testimony. She lectures on the above topics and ethics.
